In a TV interview on Reuters, Chandran Nair speaks out about China’s approach to combatting climate change in the run-up to the Copenhagen Conference. Regarding criticisms about China’s current environenmental problems, Nair states that China’s pollution is our pollution as the world has essentially outsourced its pollution to China which has become the factory of the world. While recognizing that China faces unprecented challenges in combatting its environmental problems, Nair expressed belief that China’s efforts are geniune and that its policymakers understand that it is imperative for the country’s future to invest in the best green technologies.
