Yuxin Hou, Junior Consultant and youngest member of the GIFT team, has recently been voted as the Top Make a Difference (MaD) Role Model and is sharing his passion, energy and inspiration within the youth community in Asia.

Make a Difference (MaD) (http://www.m-a-d.asia) is a Hong Kong based major event that focuses on Asia society as a whole. The aim of MaD is to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity and discovery among the young generation and encourage them to make a change both in their lives and in the whole society. Making its debut in 2010, MaD gathered almost one thousand participants from all over Asia and beyond. Within 72 hours it created a huge explosion of thought among young people by showing the unseen, voicing the unheard and pointing out the unthought-of.

Yuxin’s positive energy and enthusiasm towards a better world has always brought passion and inspiration to people around him. As the Top MaD Model, Yuxin was featured at MaD sharing his experience of bringing a positive change to others and his adventures of discovering the world as well as himself. Interviewed alongside celebrities and noteworthy individuals who are regarded as have made differences in the society, Yuxin represented a new generation that is innovative, collaborative, compassionate and cosmopolitan and that is willing to bring about a positive change. At a panel discussion on social innovation, Yuxin represented GIFT to introduce a whole new methodology of sustainable development and creating a social impact. GIFT’s model of using executive leadership development to create new models for social innovation was highly motivating to the crowd and inspiring to the youth at the event.

“MaD is not finishing, it is only the starting point.” As Yuxin addressed at the closing ceremony, “and here’s a Call for Action! Let’s take the inspiration and motivation that MaD has given us forward. Realize the need, take the lead, bridge the gap, and make the difference happen!” Taking Yuxin’s recent experience, GIFT shares this passion and hope with all future leaders!
