Project Background
We are delighted to invite you to a special business briefing event co-hosted by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKY School of Public Policy), Global Institute For Tomorrow (GIFT), and International Development Enterprises (IDE) Cambodia on July 23, 2010 in Singapore.
The Commercial Water Solution is an integral part of the Global Leaders Module of Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy Senior Management Programme (SMP) which is run in partnership with GIFT. This experiential module of the programme offers a unique opportunity for participants to tackle a development challenge in a real-life setting in Southeast Asia. This year’s Commercial Water Solution project focuses on delivering a commercial solution for safe drinking water to the rural households of Cambodia. This year, participants range from senior officials from Singapore, Hong Kong and China, namely the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Planning and Development.
The project focuses on advancing quality water and sanitation products to unreached markets by developing strategies for business expansion of Ceramic Water Purifiers (CWP) and other related sanitation products to the rural households in Cambodia. This Commercial Water Solution project completed by GIFT, LKY School of Public Policy and IDE offers a model of multilateral collaboration to achieve a commercial solution to a social need. The overall objective of the project is to promote rural development in an economically, socially and environmentally sustainable manner. We invite your feedback and ideas on how we can advance this project to the next level of development. We hope you will also use this excellent opportunity to learn more about initiatives that make a positive impact on communities in your region.
To RSVP for this event please contact Ms. Anita Yang at E: or T: 852 3571 8210. Places are limited so your prompt response by July 16, 2010 would be appreciated.
