Chandran Nair spoke before an audience of leading educators at the European Council of International Schools (ECIS) in Malta on April 9, 2010. He discussed the challenges and resource constraints that have occurred as a result of over-consumption. Recognizing that educators have an important role to play in society, Nair called on educators to not be passive but rather to be active and to take initiative in shaping solutions to this century’s challenges.

Other speakers included the Permanent Secretary from Malta's Ministry of Education, CEO of ECIS and Apple Inc's Distinguished Educator.
